Election Day Polls: The polls are open 6 a.m. until 8 p.m. (CST) each election day. All state elected officials (except for members of the Public Service Commission) have a 4 year term which shall begin at noon on the second Monday in January next following the election. Members of the Public Service Commission shall serve for 6 year terms elected during Congressional elections.
