Description

If possible and feasible, point calculations for "races" where a winner is appointed, not elected, should be different from that for actual races. Winners are determined by two widely variant sets of criteria. It is usually possible to look at an election and determine who should win. Appointment races are much less predictable. Those who are able to predict appointees deserve to be rewarded, but those who do not should not be penalized. Simply eliminating non-appointeesm as well as not scoring races where a particular successor is required, is a damn good and fair idea. In rod we trust!
