President Barack Obama's approval rating of 49 percent in a new Wall Street Journal/ NBC News poll puts him on pace with other incumbents who won reelection. The president's rating is similar to those of Bill Clinton and George W. Bush at this point in the race, NBC News reports. The poll also brings some good news about Obama's messaging:
