Description

Federal, state, and local governments scramble along the east coast of the United States in preparation for Hurricane Sandy which has become a "Frankenstorm." But, could Sandy be to Obama as Katrina was to Bush? Hurricane Sandy could potentially be the biggest storm that could impact the United States in 2012. Local, state, and federal governments have mobilized throughout the eastern seaboard of the United States as they brace for the impact and potential damage that Hurricane Sandy could deliver. What originally churned around near Miami, Hurricane Sandy has traveled upward towards the mid to northeast coasts of the United States. The Caribbean, especially countries such as Haiti and Jamaica, have suffered much damage due to Hurricane Sandy. Deaths have already been reported in Haiti according to the Associated Press. United States President Barack Obama, who is running for re-election on November 6, has issued a statement that Hurricane Sandy is a serious storm. He said that, according to an Associated Press video, that those on the eastern coast need to take it seriously and listen to what the officials say. Obama explains that since Sandy has yet to hit land, it is unknown where exactly the hurricane will land.
