Historic Overview

The Commonwealth Land Party was a successor of the Single Tax Party. Its chief issue was the consolidation of township, state, and federal taxes into one tax payment. Like its antecedent, the Commonwealth Land Party worked to establish single tax communes such as Arden, DE & Fairhope, AL.
