Description

If there were only two words to sum up the action – or lack thereof — on the Senate floor Friday, they would be: “I object.” A group of Democratic senators offered up scores of requests to approve 108 stalled Obama administration nominees Friday morning—and Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) objected to every one on behalf of his GOP colleagues. Coburn is the only GOP senator who has complied with Senate rules and published his name and reasons for holds in the Congressional Record.
