Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken will convene the next meeting of the President’s Interagency Task Force to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons (PITF) at 2:00pm EST on Monday, February 13, 2023, at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building.
This Cabinet-level meeting serves as an opportunity to coordinate government-wide efforts and announce new initiatives to combat all forms of human trafficking. Secretary Blinken will be joined by senior White House officials and principals from the 20 participating PITF agencies, who will highlight key anti-trafficking efforts and future commitments to maintain momentum in the fight against human trafficking, including in accordance with the National Action Plan to Combat Human Trafficking. A member of the presidentially appointed U.S. Advisory Council on Human Trafficking, which provides a formal platform for trafficking survivors to advise and make recommendations on federal anti-trafficking policies to PITF agencies, also will speak about the Council’s work and its recent recommendations.
